Decided to built a website or have just built one and looking for what to do for search engine optimization ? Lets have a look.
As a newly borned website owner your goals have to be realistic in short term. Nothing wrong in thinking big but keep them for your long term plans to avoid any disappointment and dont panic if things go slow or unexpectedly at the start. Search engine optimization recently is a crowded field. This doesnt mean you won’t get what you deserve. Actually things are pretty fair in this business; If you do things right, you will get the rewards.
Participate in forums or blogs
Try to participate in forums and blogs as much as you can. Emphasis here; never do it in a spammy way. By participating, I really meant participating. Build connections online. Put your website url in your signature in forums and blog comment systems where allowed, this is a good and accurate way for a free promotion. If those communities that you share your url is related with your website content, then that is even better. Oh and be cool, really, your messages and comments in such areas should be reasonable and worth reading. If you can have someone say “Looks like a cool lad, lets have a look at what he has in that website.” then you are doing well.
Share your content
Try to have some content type that is attractive for quoting. Drop notes to such contents in your website such as “You can use this article if you want bu please leave the active links and contact details above it.“. This is a good way for promoting. Don’t forget, you really need to put some effort on those articles or content types if you want them to be linked from websites.
Work, and work
I know, it’s easy to say but hey, really, if you can put some real extra effort at the beginning it will pay you off lots afterwards. Never lose your desire to create even things go slow or wrong.
