Reliable list I say. Actually, I am using most of them in one of my websites and as an experimental experience I uso none in another. I only set permalinks and stuff that comes default with Wordpress installation in that one. It ranks pretty well.
If you do the basics you should be OK without plugins that helps you to set meta tags and that. You need a content of course to support it.
